Caterpillars grow up to be Butterflies (part 2)

The butterfly habitat had to stay very still...we could only look so quietly. We didn't want to scare them (they got all wiggly when they were bumped)!

We watched them for a few days and then all of a sudden! There were butterflies instead of cocoons!

Once they had hatched out, we fed them fruit, and they seemed to like the bananas the best. We watched them for a few days. They began to fly around their habitat and practice using their wings. Soon their wings were strong enough to really fly! We let them go outside by our flower pots! They flew around for a minute and let us watch them!
